The Creative Nonfiction workshop is for writers of essays, memoirs, autobiography, nature writing, third-person narrative nonfiction (for example: biography, history, or true-crime), and first-person narrative nonfiction (for example: a travel piece, or an eyewitness account strongly supported by documentable facts). The material you submit with your application will be read and workshopped by your instructor and class during the first week of the Institute.
If you are applying to the Creative Nonfiction Workshop: Enclose your completed Summer Writers Institute application form (available soon), a $35 check, and a total of 25 typewritten, hard-copy, double-spaced, and paginated pages of unpublished creative nonfiction.
